In Italy, food isn’t just nourishment, it’s life itself.
For Italians, being with family and friends is one of the main ingredients of any meal. Food, family and friends are inseparable and at our frequent gatherings — weddings, festivals, parties and even funerals — we eat. Wine, cheese, pasta and pizza are all indivisible from laughter and enjoyment in the company of the ones we love.
For me, growing up Italian meant eating every meal at the table and enjoying food together. Food was not an afterthought to be consumed in front of the TV. It was something to be celebrated with passion and central to everything we did.
As our La Porchetta patrons know, we bring that true Italian experience to Australia and New Zealand. We’re passionate about good food that can be enjoyed by family and friends together and to that end, we keep innovating and introducing new items into our menu.
Just recently we’ve introduced Roasted Pumpkin Calzone, a staple from Campania, Roasted Pumpkin Risotto and Pescatore Risotto, as well as a creamy, vanilla infused Panna Cotta dessert. Make sure you try them. They are all delicious!
